There is a way to connect all nine dots with four straight lines. Can you figure out how to do it? If you have never seen it done it can very difficult to figure out.

Take six match sticks or toothpicks and make four equal sided triangles with them. All the triangles have to have three sides of equal length, the length of the match stick.

Both of these puzzles may look impossible. If you think it is impossible, you probably won’t work very hard to find a solution. But if you love a challenge, you will keep trying and probably figure it out. If you would like to see the solution, email me at brad at bradstanton.com (I’m writing it this way to avoid spam)

They said it couldn’t be done

There used to be an expression that people often used if they felt something was impossible. They would say “You can’t do that any more than you can fly to the moon.” Well, in 1969 that expression quit being used, because that was the year they sent astronauts to the moon.

The Golden Gate Bridge is another example of something that many experts said was impossible, but they did it.

At one time many believed that it was impossible for any person to run a mile in less than four minutes. Most people believed it was true, so they didn’t bother trying. But Roger Bannister believed he could break the four minute mile. He believed it so strongly that he ran and ran to prove he could do it. Then, to the amazement of many people, he ran the mile in less than four minutes.

It was belief, it was faith that caused Roger to work hard to accomplish that goal. He never would have worked hard to break the four minute mile if he didn’t believe he could do it.

I have read of many, many super successful people (by whatever definition of success) who said that faith got them where they are in life. Some are Christians and some are not.

Faith in powerful

Do you sometimes feel that it is impossible to get an answer to a prayer? Don’t give up. Maybe you have a limiting belief lurking in your subconscious. One way to find and get rid of limiting beliefs is to think about why God is not answering your prayer. If you find yourself saying to God, “But I really will be able to handle abundance if you give it to me.” You limiting belief is that maybe you can’t handle abundance. You might fear that too much money will cause you problems.

When you get rid of your limiting beliefs and have strong faith, miracles will happen. Several dozen times Jesus said the key to answered prayer is faith. It takes a long time to achieve strong faith. Keep building your faith, don’t give up.

Repeating memory verses out loud help a lot. Try memorizing Matthew 7:8, 9:22, 9:29, 17:20 or 21:22. Say them out loud often and your faith will grow. Along with that you will see more answers to prayer and more success in relationships and your career.

Gratitude strengthens faith. The more you thank God for what you have, the stronger your faith becomes and the more joy you find in life. “The joy of the Lord is my strength.” Neh 8:10
