Throughout my life I have seen numerous miracles. The more miracles I saw, the more I believed that they would happen in the future.
I read about many people who sell insurance so well that it seems like a miracle because they can sell to people that the other salesmen can’t persuade. I have seen people healed miraculously, and I have been healed myself in this way.
There is an ancient story about a man who had a number of students. This man could do amazing things and soon his students could do miracles also. One thing the man did was that when he was told he must pay tax, he simply told one of his students to go fishing and open the mouth of the first fish he caught. In it would be a coin valuable enough to pay the tax for all of them.
Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to perform miracles like this? You wouldn’t even have to pay tax from your own money anymore. What a selfish idea, right? Most people would think this is either a crazy idea or selfish. But since Jesus himself did this, I say it is neither crazy nor selfish. Want to be like Jesus? Try doing that!
I know what you are thinking, it won’t work for me. And it is certainly true, if you believe it won’t happen, it won’t. Jesus said that many times. He said that if you have faith even as small as a mustard seed you can move a mountain, nothing will be impossible for you.
The world tells us “Well, we can’t all be Billy Grahams.” That is a lie. Jesus said that everyone who has faith in him will do what he did and even more. The problem is, it takes years to develop this kind of faith, at least for most people.
John 14:12 I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.
