About 4 dozen times, Jesus says faith is the key to answered prayer. Here are just a few of those:
Matthew 9:22 Jesus said “Your faith has healed you.”
Matt 9:29 according to your faith it will be done to you.
Matt 21:22 If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer
Mark 9:23 everything is possible for him who believes
Mark 11:24 Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe you have received it and it will be yours
Luke 8:50 Don’t be afraid; just believe and she will be healed
Luke 18:1 Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up
Luke 18:42 Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has healed you.”
John 14:14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it
John 15:7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish and it will be given you
John 16:23 I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.
Matthew 7:8 for everyone who asks receives.

I think that there are times when His will must outweigh my prayers. But I still derive comfort from an unanswered prayer because praying calms me even when it does not produce the thing I requested.

Faith. Believe. The substance of things hoped for. The evidence of things yet unseen. Something I have been dealing with the past couple of months. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. You have just helped to build my faith. Thank you and Happy Holidays.

It’s easy to recognize the truth in Jesus words, but it’s not always easy to have the absolute faith that he is speaking about. Sometimes our faith has cracks that we can’t see, and sometimes we don’t know how to apply what we believe in our heads. Having faith is not always as simple as it sounds.

Thanks for sharing these verses, reminders are always valuable.
